2024 is our 18th year of working for food security and social justice for poor and at-risk populations. We earned our experience early on in Africa and Central America, and really came into our own by farming in the inner city of Detroit for 10 years- feeding the homeless and observing firsthand the causes of, and possible solutions to, human suffering.
Eighteen years… and we are more dedicated than ever to sharing the lessons we’ve learned, the connections we’ve made, and the resources we can leverage. We are Row-By-Row.
“Our greater purpose is to drive social change in the communities in which we work.” — Chris Skellenger, founder
At Row by Row, our mission is to improve the lives of the underserved by providing nutritious, fresh food; access to clean, fresh water; and opportunities for our donors to assist with these endeavors.
Row-By-Row is not a “brick and mortar” based organization. We are thus capable of focusing our resources on what we, our partners, and our donors consider to be current priorities.
Row-by-Row lends support to 6 large non-profit projects that focus on food security and blight reduction in Detroit, Michigan.
Learn MoreRow- by- Row’s longest international partnership is with Educacion y Desarollo, Antigua, Guatemala.
